Mindfulness
Mindfulness is the intentional act of being in the present moment (Jon Kabat-Zinn, 1994), without judgment or reactivity (Baer, 2019).
Research suggests the benefits of mindfulness include:
- Reduced rumination
- Effective stress management
- Improved working memory
- Enhanced focus
- Regulation of emotions
- Increased cognitive flexibility
- Relationship satisfaction
